The MBISS family are the sister schools of the Manhattan Bible Institute which is located
in Harlem New York. Manhattan Bible Institute was founded in 1936 by Dr. Edward H. Boyce. Dr. Boyce attended the Moody
Bible Institute of Chicago: the Bible Institute of Los Angeles and the Biblical Seminary in New York.
After his post-graduate work at the American Bible College, he received his Doctor of Theology
Degree. In 1947, the college
recognized Dr. Boyce of his outstanding accomplishments in the religious field and conferred
upon him the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity. The Doctor of Laws was conferred upon him in 1957.
Dr. Boyce was the Pastor of the Manhattan Holy Tabernacle. He is the author of the books:
" With Christ in the Mount" and "Between Now and Eternity". Dr. Boyce was committed to the task of teaching the Word of God
to everyone but particularly to people who could not attend universities of higher learning do to life styles and economics.
It was his passion to make learning Gods' Word affordable and accessible.
Dr. Edward Boyce went home to be with the Lord in November 1987. Three months prior
to his departure, he passed the Presidency to Dr. Richard F. Christie, Sr., whom he personally trained.
From the Desk of the President of Manhattan Bible Institute
Greetings and salutations in the Name of our risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!
It is my distinct pleasure and privilege to welcome you into the Manhattan Bible Institute family. As you strive to
consecrate yourself to the Lord's service through the study of His' Word, I heartily encourage you in your endeavors, rejoicing
in the knowledge that "your labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Indeed, a foundation has been laid through the efforts of our founder, Dr. Edward
H. Boyce. A training center and fountainhead of learning has been established that willing vessels would be able to avail
themselves to the precious Word of God, " Which is able to build you up, and give you an inheritance among all them that are
sanctified" (Acts 20:32).
As you yield youself to the rigors of study and preparation, be ever mindful of
the souls that are stumbling in darkness. These are the lives that the Master has ordained for you to touch. We must be full
prepared and equipped to effectively impact this generation for the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord and Savior prayed to His Father
in His High - Priestly prayer, "As thou has sent me into the world, even so have I sent them into the world" (John 17:18).
And so, as we are commanded to go and make disciples of all nations, it is our sincere belief that your willingness to "Study
to shew thyself approved unto God" will cause you to be "A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
Therefore we cannot at this "Slack our riding" but must redouble our efforts to
reach our generation with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is evident that the greatest event in the history of
mankind is about to eclipse all other events, that is, the rapture of the Saints. Because of this, it is mandatory that you
apply yourself with a well-rounded Biblical education at MBISS to face the challenges of our day. We are fully aware that
in ourselves we would not be able to do this, except through the power of the Holy Spirit. For it is, "Not by might,
nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord of hosts" (Zechariah 4:6).

A Message From the Dean of
MBISS Elder Daryl Martin Anderson, Th.M.
I am very excited in the Lord for every student who has decided to attend this
biblical institution because we, in conjunction with Manhattan Bible Institute have prepared and extensive and very elaborate
biblical education for you. Someone said, "A sharp tool will cut better than a dull one and a trained mind will see further:
comprehend more quickly and strike with more force than an untrained mind." Therefore, as we gather together and are fully
engaged in the pedagogical process, God will errect His lectern in our midst and teach us His truths. It is with this in mind
that I have an anticipatory expectation in the Lord.
I have this earnest expectation because it was a profound and distinct pleasure
to attend the Manhattan Bible Institute from 1988 - 1995 so I know the biblical educational experiences that await you. While
attending the M.B.I., I was very fortunate to sit underneath the teachings of Dr. Christie: Dr. Croney, Dr. Hoyt, Dr. Jones,
Dr. Plummer, and Rev. Nelson. The curriculum and their various teaching styles have been used of the Lord in a mighty way
and still validly impacts my life until this very day. What a privilege!
To my complete surprise, I graduated in 1995 as the class valedictorian!
Additionally, I received my Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.) and taught predictive prophecy at M.B.I.
before relocating to North Carolina in 1996. In April of 2008, I completed my long overdue thesis on "The Life and
Times of Christ" and received my Master's Degree of Theology (M.th.) from Anchor Theological
Seminary.
I have come a very long way by Gods' grace having aided me. It seems like just
yesterday I was homeless and backslidden with a crack pipe in my mouth running the streets of New York like a mad man but
God saw fit to impart unto me a fresh and new mercy. I'm extremely grateful because "With God, all things are possible."
Lastly, As you embark upon your biblical education, please know that you have my
full support. Remember, I am here to assist: serve and to make sure your time with us is relevant: refreshing and rewarding
academically. I am anticipating your arrival and I purpose to make your learning expericence at MBISS challenging: comprehensible,
acquirable and fun!
